The Smurfs village- Chefchaouen

Today in Poland and in other 47countries around the world, we celebrate the International Children’s Day! So that is why I decided to write about this charming place. Enjoy reading and happy Children’s Day!

Have you ever been in a place that looks like The Smurf’s village? The one I am going to write about is called Chefchaouen or Chaouen. It is located in northwest of Morocco. The name refers to the shape of the mountain tops above the town that look like the two horns (chaoua) of a goat. Chefchaouen was painted in blue by the Jewish refugees who lived there during the 1930’s.

Knock, knock is Papa Smurf in here?

Even cemetery is blue in Chefchaouen .

So DO NOT GO THERE IF you are still afraid of Gargamel, or just simply you hate blue color. 😉
